Job description

A leading healthcare organization in the heart of Washington is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join its Neurosurgery team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced neurosurgeons while providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, assisting with advanced surgical procedures, and helping patients throughout their treatment journey.

Position Highlights:
  • Full-time, employed Physician Assistant position
  • Specialty focus: Neurosurgery & Orthopedic Spine
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical care
  • Evaluate new patients, perform follow-ups, and manage post-operative care
  • Collaborate directly with neurosurgeons to develop treatment plans
  • Assist in the operating room with advanced neurosurgical and spine procedures, including:
    • Craniotomies
    • Intrathecal baclofen pump placement
    • Spinal procedures and instrumentation
    • Microscopic procedures
  • Perform hospital rounds, including ICU patients
  • Conduct ED and hospital consultations
  • Manage VP shunt evaluations and reprogramming
  • Assist with lumbar drains and ventricular/ICP monitoring
  • Participate in call responsibilities as assigned
  • Cross-train with multiple surgeons within the department
  • Work within a collaborative, team-based environment

Qualifications:
  • Active Physician Assistant license with prescriptive authority in Washington State (required by start date)
