Job Title: Afterschool Teacher / Homework Assistant (Part-Time)

Job Description

We are seeking a caring, responsible, and enthusiastic Afterschool Teacher / Homework Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate enjoys working with school-age children and is committed to creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise children during the afterschool program.
  • Assist students with homework and provide academic support.
  • Plan and lead educational and recreational activities.
  • Encourage positive behavior and social development.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom.
  • Communicate professionally with parents and staff.
  • Follow all center policies and licensing regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children school-age children.
  • Familiarity with elementary school curriculum and learning standards.
  • Experience assisting students with homework across core subjects.
  • Proficiency with educational platform such as IXL, i-Ready, and Imaging Learning.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Patient, dependable, and energetic personality.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Must pass a background screening as required by state regulations.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Schedule:

  • Part-time
  • Monday–Friday
  • Afterschool hours (approximately 2:00 PM–7:00 PM)

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
