Location: Woburn, Massachusetts

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our dynamic team at Woburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a engaging and stimulating environment for our residents. You will assist in planning and implementing recreational programs, group activities, special events, and holiday celebrations to meet the needs and interests of our residents. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and carrying out recreational programs, group activities, special events, and holiday celebrations to meet the needs and interests of residents

  • Support and encourage residents to participate in activities

  • Transport residents to and from activities as needed

  • Clean up after each activity and prepare for the next one

  • Assemble, dismantle, and store equipment and supplies used in the recreation program

  • Communicate with families and encourage their involvement

  • Facilitate activities and be aware of all residents during each activity

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous experience and demonstrated interest in working with seniors preferred

  • Must be able to work hours/rotation as described above
