Job description

This position is a part of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department in the Navy Region Southwest. The primary purpose of this position is to oversee various functions going on in the facility, perform first level supervisory duties and to ensure that established policies and procedures are followed. The Facility Operations Assistant (Duty Manager) position is located at Naval Air Station North Island on Coronado in Sea 'N Air Lanes.Qualifications:
  • Possess a fine sense of public and customer relations.
  • Knowledge of recreation activity operation and regulations.
  • Skill to communicate effectively and the tact to deal capably and diplomatically with superiors, peers, subordinates and customers.
  • Be capable of handling monies and attend MWR Cash Handling Training within first 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to use PC computers and knowledge of various software programs.
  • Be able to account for materials, equipment and money placed in care.
