Job description

Job Summary: The Warehouse Associate / Delivery Driver supports daily warehouse operations by preparing and fulfilling orders, managing inventory, and handling the safe storage, loading, and delivery of artificial turf, installation materials, and related products. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate inventory control and timely, safe delivery of materials to job sites, customers, and contractors — while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, organized, and capable of performing physically demanding work.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, unload, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Organize, count, and maintain accurate inventory in designated warehouse locations using company inventory software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central), reporting any damaged, missing, or incorrect inventory.
  • Pull, stage, measure, cut, roll, label, and package artificial turf and materials according to work orders for customer pickups and deliveries.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely; load and unload trailers, box trucks, and customer vehicles, securing all loads to prevent damage during transport.
  • Safely operate company trucks, flatbeds, or delivery vehicles to deliver artificial turf, aggregates, infill, edging, adhesives, tools, and accessories to job sites and customers.
  • Verify delivery contents before departure, obtain customer signatures and delivery confirmations, and return completed paperwork promptly.
  • Inspect delivery vehicles before and after each trip, maintain accurate inspection logs, and immediately report accidents, vehicle issues, or maintenance needs.
  • Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures during all deliveries.
  • Lift and move turf rolls and materials weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance or equipment and ensure proper storage to prevent product damage.
  • Provide professional, responsive customer service during deliveries and pickups, answering basic product questions and communicating any delays or issues promptly.
  • Follow OSHA and company safety policies, wear required PPE, maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace, participate in safety meetings and training, and report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards; dispose of packaging materials and maintain recycling areas.

Responsible for additional duties and accountabilities that will be assigned as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Full Class A/57 CDL Driver’s License & valid DOT medical card will have to be obtained within 90 days of accepted position to be paid for Goat Turf.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate forklifts (certification preferred or willing to obtain).
  • Previous warehouse or delivery experience preferred.
  • Ability to read work orders and shipping documents.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ year of warehouse, inventory, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Forklift operation experience preferred.
  • Experience working in construction, landscaping, or distribution environments is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently lift up to 75 pounds independently.
  • Team lift or use equipment for loads over 75 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Push and pull loaded carts and pallets.
  • Safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment.
