HireCare Services - Rhode Island is hiring a Recreation Assistant on behalf of one of our valued healthcare partners in Warwick, RI. We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and energetic individual who enjoys working with seniors and creating meaningful experiences for residents.

In this role, you will help plan and lead recreational activities, games, social events, and programs that encourage resident engagement, socialization, and overall quality of life.

What You'll Do
  • Plan and lead recreational activities, games, and group programs

  • Encourage residents to participate in activities based on their interests and abilities

  • Support individual and small-group activities

  • Prepare activity spaces and organize supplies and materials

  • Escort residents to and from activities and programs as needed

  • Assist with holiday celebrations, special events, and community outings

  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members

  • Maintain accurate attendance and activity records

  • Keep activity areas clean, organized, and safe

  • Create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for residents

What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Previous experience in recreation, senior living, activities, healthcare, or a related field preferred
