About Us
Middle Georgia State University (MGA), a multi-campus, baccalaureate and graduate degree-granting public institution, is the most affordable public state university in Georgia. Job Summary
This is a part-time, student position with responsibilities in customer service, clerical duties, housekeeping, and assisting with various recreation and wellness activities and events at the Middle Georgia State University Recreation and Wellness Center (Macon Campus). This position will report to the part-time student managers and full-time professional staff.
Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and community members
  • Ensure front-desk forms are organized and stocked up daily
  • Perform hourly walk-throughs and check offs in the wellness center to ensure safety throughout the building
  • Perform housekeeping duties including laundry, organizing/cleaning equipment, and vacuuming
  • Ensure cleanliness of facilities and notify supervisors of any services needed
  • Communicate any student/member concerns or suggestions to supervisors
  • Attend any meetings/training assigned by supervisors
  • Perform duties related to recreational activities
  • Assist with setting up and working recreation and wellness activities and events including activities/events held indoors and outdoors
  • Have knowledge of all current and upcoming Intramural, Fitness, and Wellness related events
  • Promote and encourage students to participate in hosted events
  • Represent Middle Georgia State University with professionalism

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum GPA of 2.0
  • Be enrolled at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours, 12 credit hours preferably.
  • Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
