What You'll Do
As the Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Supervisor, you will lead the development, governance, testing, and ongoing maturity of Silgan's enterprise-wide business continuity and disaster recovery program. You will partner across Business Technology, Security, Operations, and business units to ensure organizational readiness, resiliency, and recovery capabilities align with business objectives and risk tolerance.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Strategy
  • Define and maintain the enterprise BCDR strategy, governance model, and roadmap
  • Establish and enforce BCDR policies, standards, and frameworks aligned with ISO 22301, NIST, and ITIL
  • Define enterprise-wide Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs), Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs), and system criticality classifications
  • Conduct maturity assessments and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Business Continuity
  • Lead Business Impact Analysis (BIA) development across business units
    Oversee Business Continuity Plan (BCP) creation, training, and awareness initiatives
  • Facilitate tabletop exercises, simulations, and crisis management scenarios
  • Ensure alignment between business priorities and continuity planning

Disaster Recovery
  • Partner with Business Technology teams to maintain Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs) for critical infrastructure and applications
  • Lead enterprise disaster recovery testing, including failover validation and recovery exercises
  • Maintain DR runbooks, recovery procedures, and dependency documentation
  • Support the modernization of resiliency and recovery capabilities

Risk, Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure alignment with audit, compliance, and regulatory frameworks, including ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34, and SOC requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for BCDR-related audits and assessments
  • Track and manage remediation activities for identified risks and gaps
  • Deliver executive reporting and program readiness updates

Program Coordination & Communication
  • Lead cross-functional coordination across Business Technology, Security, Operations, and business teams
  • Support organizational response and recovery efforts during major incidents or disruptions
  • Maintain executive dashboards, reporting, and communication materials
  • Monitor industry trends and recommend resiliency enhancements

What You Bring
The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership, program management expertise, and technical resiliency knowledge with the ability to collaborate effectively across a large manufacturing organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business, Risk Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7-10+ years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, IT Operations, Risk Management, or Compliance
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide resiliency or governance programs
  • Strong understanding of business continuity, disaster recovery, and operational risk management principles
  • Experience working with ISO 22301, NIST, ITIL, or related frameworks
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-site environments preferred
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Certifications such as CBCP, CISSP, MBCI, or ITIL are preferred
