Job purpose


The Tissue Recovery Supervisor is responsible for the management of the field recovery offices and ensures compliance and staffing requirements of Vivex Biologics, Inc. are met. The Tissue Recovery Supervisor ensures the facilities are audit ready keeping with all applicable standards of accreditation and all regulatory requirements. The Recovery Supervisor ensures the staffing needs meet the requirements necessary to facilitate tissue recovery in the designated geographical area.


Duties and responsibilities


  • Management Remote Recovery Operations
  • Responsible for technical staff competency to ensure Compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and AATB Guidelines
  • Responsible for personnel management of Recovery staffing and on-call schedule.
  • General knowledge of AATB, FDA and State Regulations related to Tissue banking.
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Prefer bachelor’s degree in health-related field, Certified Surgical Technologist
  • Knowledge of gross anatomy and sterile techniques required.
  • Prefer 2 year of experience, preferably in tissue/organ donation as a recovery team leader or member.
  • Demonstrated skills lending to attention to detail and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines including excellent organization and time management skills, ability to multi-task, and to function independently, or within a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving, creative-thinking and well-developed personal stress management skills.
  • Current driver’s license required.
  • CTBS preferred or must obtain within two years of employment.


All qualifications must comply with provincial human rights legislation.


Working conditions

Exposure to Blood Borne Pathogens. Travel to recovery sites: Hospital Operating Rooms, Medical Examiners, and Funeral Homes. Overnight travel is required.

Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
