McLeod Regional Medical Center Hospitalist Physician Assistant

McLeod Regional Medical Center is seeking a Day Shift Hospitalist Physician Assistant! New Grads are welcome to apply!

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations:

  • State of South Carolina Certification as Physician Assistant.
  • Prescriptive privileges or are eligible to apply.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Expectations:

  1. Job responsibilities include those listed in competency document.
  2. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
  3. Assists Providers in assessing needs of patients based on data collected by reviewing electronic medical record, floor nursing staff & other MRMC staff involved in care delivery.
  4. Performs physical exams within prescribed guidelines & instructions of Physician.
  5. Orders, interprets & evaluates diagnostic tests to identify & assess patient's clinical problems & healthcare needs.
  6. Records physical findings, formulates care plan & discusses cases with Physician to provide comprehensive patient care plan.
  7. Speaks with patients & families to address any concerns when requested.
  8. Maintains professional clinical knowledge required for licensure & completes required training according to deadline.
