Job Summary
Reporting to the Associate Registrar, serves as a member of the Student Records Office team to provide courteous, efficient and accurate information and service to faculty, staff, students and the public regarding all records and registration information with the focus on graduation functions.
Job Duties:
  • Performs degree audits for students applying for graduation.
  • Awards credentials in Peoplesoft each semester by the established deadlines.
  • Responsible for communicating graduation status to all applicants.
  • Participates in graduation information sessions and the graduation ceremony.
  • Monitors and answers emails sent to the Bluegrass Graduation mailbox and Bluegrass Subs email.
  • Assists with the data entry of course exceptions.
  • Process universal student records duties as assigned. Also assists in answering office emails and office coverage as needed. Follows customer service guidelines established for the office and abides by the guidelines of FERPA.
  • Participate in professional development as time and resources allow. Complete all required KCTCS training modules and attend KCTCS and BCTC trainings as needed.
  • Serves on college committees if requested and performs other duties as assigned by the Associate Registrar.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma and three years experience or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree and four years experience or equivalent

Additional Skills Requested:
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills
  • A positive attitude and ability to plan and adapt to change
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet.
  • Experience working with general office equipment including copier, fax, telephone.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft a plus.
