How We LEAD:

Virgin Music Group (VMG) is seeking a Director-level Label Manager to lead relationships with distributed K-Pop labels and artists, offering strategic, tactical, and technical guidance to help them develop artists and monetize music and video catalogs. This role oversees day-to-day label repertoire management while driving commercial strategy and operational excellence across VMG's global infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have deep experience across the U.S. and Korean music markets, a strong understanding of commercial opportunities, excellent relationship-building and communication skills, proven organizational discipline, hands-on knowledge of music distribution, and genuine enthusiasm for the intersection of music, pop culture, and technology.

How You'll CREATE:

  • Serve as the primary representative and strategic partner for Virgin Music Group's K-Pop partners

  • Act as the central communication bridge, ensuring alignment across teams and territories

  • Advise labels on distribution strategy, commercial opportunities, and evolving market dynamics

  • Provide expert guidance on leveraging Virgin's platforms, services, and global infrastructure

  • Lead priority release planning and execution from inception through post-campaign analysis

  • Partner cross-functionally with Commercial Strategy, Marketing, Catalog, Video, Platform Operations, Insights & Analytics, Sync, Finance, and Legal to ensure seamless execution

  • Implement best practices across release campaigns to optimize performance globally

  • Translate internal and external data into insights and actionable growth strategies for artists, labels, and managers

  • Oversee digital and physical product logistics to ensure timely and accurate delivery through VMG systems

  • Ensure metadata integrity and operational excellence across all releases

  • Collaborate with Commercial Marketing to develop compelling narratives and strategies that drive DSP engagement and visibility

  • Maintain accountability for timelines, deliverables, and campaign performance

  • 5+ years of experience in music distribution, label services, record label, management, or related music industry environment

  • Direct experience and an understanding of K-Pop music and fan culture
