Job description

Role: Amazon Manager – Advertising & Paid Media
Salary $85-100K
Overview
We are seeking a high-performing Amazon Manager – Advertising & Paid Media to own and scale performance marketing across our rapidly growing Amazon business.
This role is responsible for driving incremental, profitable growth at scale - not simply managing campaigns. The ideal candidate operates with an owner’s mindset, combines deep platform expertise with strong business judgment, and consistently translates data into action, while working collaboratively with others.
This is a high-impact role with direct accountability for revenue, efficiency, and market share.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end Amazon advertising performance
    • Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Display, Streaming TV
  • Drive incremental growth by improving spend allocation, eliminating inefficiencies, and scaling new-to-brand demand
  • Deliver measurable growth and efficiency outcomes across Amazon Advertising, tracked against core KPIs (TACOS, ROAS, CVR, New-to-Brand, etc.)
  • Actively manage and evolve bidding strategy, budget allocation, and campaign structure to maximize return at scale
  • Launch, optimize, and sunset campaigns based on performance, lifecycle stage, and strategic objectives
  • Build and maintain clean, scalable campaign architecture and reporting system, ensuring limited competition across SKUs or brands
  • Execute against a balanced mix of defensive (brand protection), offensive (conquesting), and efficiency (profit optimization) strategies
  • Leverage AMC and advanced reporting to:
    • Understand path-to-purchase and customer behavior
    • Identify true incrementality
    • Translate insights into clear, decisive strategic actions
  • Leverage Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) to analyze customer journey data, build custom audiences, and generate advanced insights to inform campaign strategy and measurement
  • Align advertising with inventory (WOS), using media as a lever to manage demand and avoid both stockouts and excess inventory
  • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis (keywords, pricing, share of voice, new entrants/exits) and apply learnings to build targeted, strategic campaigns
  • Track, analyze, and actively grow market share within key categories and search terms, leveraging share-of-voice, ranking strategies, and brand metrics (e.g., new-to-brand %, branded search growth, customer acquisition trends)
  • Own off-Amazon advertising strategy (e.g., paid social, display, influencer amplification) that drives traffic to Amazon, leveraging Amazon Attribution to measure impact and optimize cross-channel performance
  • Operate cross-functionally with brand, sales, operations, and Amazon team members to ensure aligned execution and shared accountability
    • Partner with creative teams to ensure high-quality, performance-driven assets are developed to support advertising efforts
  • Stay ahead of platform changes, competitive dynamics, and emerging capabilities, proactively adapting strategy
What Success Looks Like
  • Consistent improvement in TACOS efficiency while scaling revenue
  • Clear demonstration of incremental / new-to-brand growth
  • Measurable gains in market share, share of voice, and brand health metrics
  • Effective use of off-Amazon media + attribution to drive incremental demand
  • Strong control over spend allocation and portfolio-level performance
  • Ability to quickly identify issues, act decisively, and drive measurable outcomes
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on Amazon advertising experience
  • Strategic and resourceful thinker with strong business aptitude
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive efficiency improvements while growing revenue
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to turn data into clear actions and outcomes
  • Experience managing complex, multi-brand or large catalog environments
  • Experience in the Apparel industry desired
