Job description

Korum Automotive Group is hiring a Used Car Technician/Mechanic to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background. The day-to-day duties include performing safety inspections on vehicles and completing required repairs. 

Flat Rate Hourly Pay Range: $24.60 to $33.28

Responsibilities

  • Perform safety inspections on used vehicles
  • Complete appropriate repairs and recalls as required

  • Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

  • Coordinate with the Service Manager and Used Vehicle Reconditioning Manager to ensure reconditioning meets standards and is completed on time

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of Service Technician experience

  • Must provide your own tools
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous experience at a dealership is preferred

  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
  • Enjoys working in a dynamic environment

  • Teammate with the ability to collaborate with others effectively

  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
