Raymond James is seeking a detail-oriented Mutual Fund Reconciliation Support Associate to support the daily reconciliation and balancing of mutual fund positions, cash activity, and related transactions. This role is responsible for researching and resolving reconciliation discrepancies between omnibus vendors, fund companies, transfer agents, and the firm's books and records while ensuring compliance with established operational procedures and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and organizational skills, a willingness to learn mutual fund operations and reconciliation processes, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Job Description

This position follows our hybrid-friendly schedule, so you get the best of both worlds - flexibility and collaboration. In-office days will be 3-days per week at our St. Petersburg, FL or Southfield, MI corporate office.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established operational procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements to ensure work is completed accurately and timely.

  • Research and resolve mutual fund activity discrepancies between vendors, fund companies, transfer agents, and Raymond James books and records.

  • Identify and investigate transaction differences contributing to position and cash imbalances.

  • Partner with internal departments and external business partners to obtain information needed for reconciliation and issue resolution.

  • Review reconciliation reports and exception items, perform research, and document findings.

  • Prepare and maintain reconciliation records, exception logs, and supporting documentation.

  • Monitor assigned reconciliation items and escalate unresolved issues in accordance with department procedures.

  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and reporting tools to analyze data and support daily reconciliation activities.

  • Assist with regulatory reporting, audit requests, and internal control reviews by providing supporting documentation.

  • Participate in cross-training opportunities to gain knowledge of additional reconciliation functions.

  • Support team initiatives, department projects, and process improvement efforts as assigned.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge Of
