Receptionist / Patient Account Representative Details

Essential Job Duties:

  • Must be available and willing to travel to ALL Union Health System locations throughout Terre Haute, Clinton, Rockville, Brazil, Clay City, Riley, and Marshall IL.
  • Greeting and welcoming patients with a friendly attitude.
  • Answer incoming calls, take messages, and route calls appropriately.
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Schedule and cancel patient appointments, prepare, and maintain medical records.
  • Process transactions and reconcile cash with charges, assist patients with account inquiries and payment arrangements.
  • Provide training to new employees and perform other assigned duties.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to all locations: Terre Haute, Clay City, Brazil, Riley, Rockville, Clinton and Marshall IL

Education, Training & Experience

  • Previous medical office/clerical experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Computer knowledge
  • Previous EMR experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
  • Must be accountable, self-directed, and possess great interpersonal and customer service skills.
