Job description

Receptionist, Workplace Experience

IST Management is seeking an exceptionally polished and hospitality-driven Receptionist to serve as the face of a premier law firm in Washington, DC. This role is responsible for delivering a refined, high-touch experience to every employee, client, and guest, ensuring that each interaction reflects professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate brings a natural presence, strong interpersonal awareness, and a service mindset that mirrors a luxury hospitality environment. This individual will maintain full ownership of the reception desk and front-of-house experience, creating a welcoming and seamless environment from arrival to departure.

Compensation: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard business hours
Location: Washington, DC (on-site)

Front-of-House Experience & Reception
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all employees, clients, and guests entering the office
  • Deliver a consistently polished, welcoming, and professional greeting to every individual
  • Create a high-end, hospitality-driven experience through tone, demeanor, and attention to detail
  • Recognize and engage returning visitors and employees with familiarity and professionalism when appropriate
  • Manage visitor check-in, badging, and direction with efficiency and discretion
  • Maintain full ownership of the reception desk and surrounding front-of-house environment
  • Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and presentation-ready at all times

Conference & Workplace Support

  • Support conference room readiness, ensuring spaces are prepared and aligned with client expectations
  • Assist with meeting logistics, guest coordination, and catering support
  • Monitor conference areas and common spaces to maintain a high standard of presentation
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless daily operations
  • Provide additional workplace support as needed to maintain service consistency
  • Maintain strong attention to detail across all guest-facing areas

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in reception, concierge, hospitality, or high-end client-facing roles
  • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a high-touch, hospitality-driven experience
  • Strong communication skills and professional presence
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain composed, engaged, and responsive in a fast-paced environment
