Aging, Disability and Veterans Services a division of Multnomah County Department of County Human Services (DCHS) is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to provide services as a Receptionist (Office Assistant 2). This recruitment will be open for 7 days or until we receive 150 applications whichever comes first.

About the position: As an Office Assistant 2 you will be the first point of contact for clients and the public. You will perform clerical and customer service functions and will be cross trained to cover a variety of duties to support team members and serve customers of multiple programs located within Aging, Disability and Veterans Services, Multnomah County.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Serve as the initial point of contact, accurately capturing data and facilitating seamless intake processes across multiple information systems.
  • Efficiently coordinate client appointment scheduling and calendar management.
  • Support front desk operations and traffic flow, maintaining focus while handling competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Manage telephonic communications, effectively routing inquiries to the appropriate staff.
  • Uphold rigorous standards for incoming document management, encompassing digital imaging, systematic archival, and the maintenance of essential documentation.
  • Ensure the operational readiness and professional appearance of public-facing office spaces, interview rooms, and administrative equipment.
