Acting under the direction and supervision of the Legal Services Supervisor this position will provide general Administrative Assistant and Legal Assistant support for the Legal Services Supervisor and counsel, as well as support the more general legal needs of the WVUHS legal department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Provide a wide range of support to WVUHS Legal Services
2. Provide widespread support to visitors by answering questions and requests.
3. Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, overseeing incoming and outgoing mail, and responding to email inquiries
4. Assist counsel and staff in creating PowerPoints and other presentations.
5. Communicate timely and professionally with internal WVUHS departments regarding legal matters.
6. Prepare documents for signature and coordinate execution and mailing of legal documents.
7. Monitor and maintain management information for the WVUH Legal Services Department.
8. Assist in maintaining appropriate departmental filing systems and departmental files ensuring ease of access in timely manner to accurate information.
9. Assist with organizing office events.
10. Support the WVUHS Legal Services department in all matters, including support of other counsel and staff within the Department as needed.
11. Monitor governmental websites for excluded parties on governmental and OIG websites, perform sanction checks on outside vendors as necessary, and ensure all vendors are registered to perform business in state of residence.
12. Ensure contract file has all contracts, signatures, and documents fully executed prior to closing. Circulate copies of contracting documents to stakeholders as appropriate.

15. Assisting in maintaining interface with contracts database provider and serve as internal gatekeeper for others accessing the database.
