We are currently hiring for a Veterinary Reception, Client Care position at Vancouver Animal Emergency and Referral Centre to join our dedicated team at our 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital.

Key responsibilities;

  • Welcoming clients and patients in a warm, professional manner

  • Managing check-ins, check-outs, and appointment scheduling in our in-house scheduling system; training provided

  • Handling incoming calls through our multiline system

  • Prioritizing emails and client inquiries efficiently

  • Coordinating communication between medical teams, specialty services and the referring community

  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth administrative flow for standard operating procedures

  • Supporting the team in delivering exceptional emergency and specialty care to our clients and patients

Qualifications;

  • 2+ years of experience as a receptionist or front desk in human or veterinary medicine.

  • A professional and calm demeanour when assisting clients with questions, requests, or sensitive information

  • Experienced with booking medical appointments and locating schedules within the system for: rebooking patients, booking new appointments and urgent appointments

  • Strong knowledge of electronic medical records; training is provided for our in-house system

  • Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Adobe)

  • Previous knowledge of Moneris POS terminals is an asset

  • Strong attention to detail & accuracy when recording and relaying information
