Job description


Reno Staffing is looking for an Office Assistant for a construction/transportation industry company in the Carson City, NV area! We are looking for someone with construction, landscaping, trucking, or dispatch familiarity.

This is a great temporary assignment running from May through September 2026. Ideal for someone who enjoys a steady routine, a friendly work environment, and a role where organization and customer service make a real impact. This position offers consistent hours and the opportunity to support a wellestablished company during their busy season.

Shift:
  • Monday – 7:00am to 5:00pm
  • Wednesday – 7:00am to 5:00pm
  • Friday – 7:00am to 5:00pm
  • Saturday – 7:30am to 12:00pm
DAYS OFF: Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday!

Pay: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour
Location: Carson City, NV


Summary:
We are looking for someone with construction, landscaping, trucking, or dispatch familiarity. This role requires comfort with industry terminology, scheduling workflows, and customer interactions related to materials, equipment, or transportation.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned.
  • Create and maintain accurate files for various departments to support document control.
  • Copy, distribute, and route documents to appropriate personnel.
  • Handle distribution and destruction of confidential documents.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of reception, mailroom, and file room areas.
  • Print and distribute weekly, monthly, and asneeded reports.
  • Perform data entry, including timecards and accounts payable invoice batching.
  • Reception duties: answering and directing calls, taking messages, greeting visitors, maintaining calendars, receiving mail/packages, preparing outgoing mail.
  • Assist walkin customers with basic product questions and pricing/quotes.
  • At the discretion of your lead or supervisor, you may be required to perform additional jobrelated activities not specifically outlined above.

  • JD Edwards experience a plus
  • 10key by touch preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally
  • Drug test required
  • Background check required — no violent/theft felonies
