Job description

Position Summary

The Christian School at Castle Hills (CSCH) is seeking a qualified and passionate Secondary Mathematics Teacher to teach Dual Credit Calculus and College Algebra at the high school level. The ideal candidate is an engaging educator who values academic rigor, student achievement, and Christ-centered instruction, and who is committed to preparing students for both college success and lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Advanced High School Mathematics, including Dual Credit Calculus and College Algebra
  • Deliver Dual Credit coursework in alignment with partnering college/university standards
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans that support college-level expectations
  • Integrate a Christian worldview into mathematics instruction and classroom culture
  • Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Maintain accurate records for grades, attendance, and Dual Credit documentation
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, college partners, and administration
  • Collaborate with math department colleagues and school leadership
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
  • Uphold and model the mission, values, and Statement of Faith of The Christian School at Castle Hills

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field
  • Strong content knowledge in Calculus and College Algebra
  • Experience teaching secondary or post-secondary mathematics
  • Commitment to Christian education and faith-based instruction
  • Ability to manage a structured, engaging classroom environment

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related discipline
  • Eligibility to teach Dual Credit courses through an accredited college or university

(typically 18 graduate hours in Mathematics)

  • Previous Dual Credit or college-level teaching experience
  • Teaching certification (Texas or other recognized certification)
  • Experience using instructional technology in math education

Dual Credit Requirements (If Applicable)

  • Meets credentialing standards of the partnering college/university
  • Willingness to follow college syllabi, assessments, and reporting requirements

Harris and a group of interested members of Castle Hills First Baptist Church founded our school.
