What We Need:
We are looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator on our Furniture Operations team in Muscatine, Iowa!  In this role, you will support and drive critical safety programs and initiatives to reach the safety goals and objectives of our H61 facility.  This will include driving a ‘safety first’ culture, encompassing both machine and ergonomic safety, as well as environmental safety factors.  This role is highly interactive and hands-on, within a fast paced, high energy manufacturing environment…it is an excellent opportunity if you are a recent graduate or have just a couple of years of experience in manufacturing safety! 
 
What You Will Do:
  • Implement HNI Corporation’s Member Safety Program and safety action items
  • Conduct Safe Workplace Design and Process improvement
  • Drive high levels of engagement to increase leadership and member performance with Safety and Sustainability goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement EHS programs, training, and communications to develop ownership and accountability by facility members.
  • Optimize EHS programs, measures, and communications to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement procedures to assure compliance with laws, regulations, internal policies, and strategic initiatives.
What You Have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Associate degree with experience can be considered
  • 2 or more years of experience in safety, in a manufacturing environment.
  • Background in engineering
