YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The Senior Supplier Quality Surveillance Engineer is responsible supporting Procurement in the implementation and execution of Procurement Supplier Quality Inspections and audits.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control shop inspections and audits to ensure critical materials and engineered equipment purchased meet or exceed our customer's and contract quality and workmanship expectations

  • The Inspector will assist in ensuring the subcontracts or corporate agreements for good and services meet Rosendin Procurement quality standards and customer's expectations

  • Require a working understanding of Rosendin electrical equipment and materials related to fabrication, testing, and functionality

  • Be able to read and understand equipment specifications, drawings, provide
    feedback in regard to recommended supplier testing and inspections

  • Report to management and Project personnel about manufacturing problems, and
    assist in identifying and correcting these problems

  • Communicate inspection and audit results, both verbally and written, and recommend
    necessary corrective actions

  • Have a thorough knowledge of Procurement quality procedures, documents, and
    reporting structures

  • Assist Rosendin Procurement in Supplier/Subcontractor prequalification by providing
    input on the fabricator's quality program by performing supplier audits/assessments.

  • Provide support to Divisions and projects in overseeing fabricator and subcontractor
    quality as needed

  • Review Supplier/Subcontractor Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and assist in developing corrective action plans. Coordinate with Quality Managers to approve final disposition and sign off
    NCR's

  • Provide input to Rosendin Procurement in rating the overall quality performance of
    suppliers and subcontractors

  • Highly skilled and experienced in written and verbal communications to include
    leading pre-fabrication meetings, creating pre-fabrication checklists, writing
    inspection/audit reports

  • Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Broad working knowledge of all design/craft disciplines and engineered equipment/materials associated with renewable energy and electrical projects and must be familiar with their special processes, inspection, and testing techniques

  • Broad working knowledge of the following:

    • Transformers: Power (oil filled and dry type), Distribution ( LV dry-type), and Isolation

    • Switchgear: MV/LV switchgear, metal-clad, metal-enclosed, gas insulated (GIS, Busway, Panelboards, Circuit breakers

    • UPS: static switches, PDU, Inverters

    • Generators

    • BESS and PV inverter modules

    • Wire and cable: DC feeder, MV cable, MCM, Wire harness,

  • Must be familiar with electrical procurement and vendor surveillance procedures as well as working knowledge of construction industry codes and standards related to the manufacture and testing of electrical components/systems such as IEEE, IECC, NEC, NFPA, NESC, IBC, IFC, etc.)

  • Be detail-oriented

  • Effective time management and organizational skills,

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and

  • Must be team player but able to work independently, to meet intense deadlines, goals and objectives

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
  • 7+ years of professional supplier experience

  • 5+ years of professional supplier quality experience and 2-year associate's degree in electrical technology

  • 3+ years of professional supplier quality experience and 4-year bachelor's degree in electrical engineering

  • API SIEE Certification preferred

  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification preferred

TRAVEL:

  • The position may require up to 85% travel and may require occasional travel outside of the USA

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning

  • Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
