Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor a team of backend and full-stack developers, in a fast-paced, quick-to-market environment
  • Build infrastructure for data processing at Snap with large scale distributed systems.
  • Set the strategy, build a roadmap, create measurable goals, and lead your team to deliver
  • Collaborate with Product, Operation, Data Science and Engineering teams, and executive stakeholders
  • Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of major decisions and be a strong technical mentor
  • Hire, grow and retain high-performing team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of practical work experience
  • 8+ years of post-Bachelorโ€™s software development experience; or a Masterโ€™s degree in a technical field + 7+ year of post-grad software development experience; or a PhD in a related technical field + 3+ years of post-grad software development experience
  • 1+ years of experience managing a team of engineers
  • Experience building large scale distributed systems
  • Experience with big data processing and pipelines.
