Job Description
The Automation Engineering division is seeking a Co-Op for the Project Engineering team to support newly awarded customer programs within the robotics and material handling automation industries. This position will support the development, application, and integration of electric motor and motion control solutions used in automated equipment and robotic systems. The Co-Op will assist with engineering activities including product development, testing, validation, documentation, and project execution for next-generation motor technologies supporting new customer applications.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a database for components, requesting quotes, issuing purchase orders, and tracking supplier lead times
  • Assist with prototype builds, design of prototype assist tooling, and managing CAD data in company database systems
  • Testing and related documentation

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • BSME, BSEE or equivalent undergraduate study, SO, JR or early SR level
  • Able to work minimum 24 hours / week (40 preferred)
  • Experience with common shop hand tools
  • CAD experience (Pro Engineer Creo preferred)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
