Job description

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a dynamic Receiving Lead in Atlanta, GA. In this rewarding and high-impact role, you will be responsible for leading daily receiving operations for an industry-leading linen distribution company, overseeing inventory accuracy, and guiding a dedicated warehouse team toward daily operational success. In a Receiving Lead job you’ll be responsible for:
  • Leading and coordinating daily receiving operations to ensure smooth, efficient workflow from arrival to storage.
  • Inspecting incoming shipments of commercial linens, verifying packing slips, and ensuring inventory accuracy.
  • Operating warehouse equipment (such as forklifts and pallet jacks) safely and efficiently to stage inventory.
  • Managing inventory records within the warehouse management system and reporting discrepancies promptly.
  • Mentoring, training, and directing warehouse team members to hit daily performance and safety goals.

What you’ll need:
  • 5 to 10 years of proven receiving and warehouse leadership experience (linen, textile, or high-volume distribution experience is a strong plus).
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management procedures, receiving processes, and standard warehouse equipment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and problem-solve on the fly.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy linen shipments and remain on your feet throughout the shift.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
