Description

Position Summary: 

The Logistics manager oversees the daily logistics activities, including wine distribution across all channels, inventory retail distribution to all locations, logistics for events in the organization including set up and breakdown of the events. Supervises daily incoming and outgoing mail and assets, all while providing seamless service to all various internal and external clients.  The Logistics Manager maintains the full inventories and storage of wine and merchandise. 

On site management and execution for all Summit events to support logistical requirements.


Job Duties: 

Inventory Management

Manages the onsite wine shipping and receiving for SVL, including import/export shipping in collaboration with the SVL team while utilizing inventory control tools and technology such as Excel, Shopify, Yardi, and other systems as needed.

Manages retail inventory including delivery from vendor to receiving into Skywalker inventory. 

Oversee all Wine Club shipment logistics, including packing, shipping schedules, compliance, and delivery tracking.

Coordinate with Wine Club, Marketing, and Production teams to ensure timely member shipments.

Monitor shipment quality and resolve delivery issues promptly to maintain exceptional member satisfaction.

Ensure compliance with all applicable shipping regulations and carrier requirements

Product Distribution 

Manage production and packaging of Ranch products for retail. 

Manage the receipt, tracking, storage, and distribution of retail merchandise across all retail locations.

Coordinate inventory transfers between locations based on business demand.

Ensure merchandise is delivered accurately and on schedule.

Support procurement of in- house furnishings and supplies.

Shipping Logistics

Supervise the processing of incoming and outgoing shipments for all UPS, Federal Express and mail

Pick up and deliver mail, products and freight

Sort and distribute incoming mail and interoffice to appropriate company locations.

Oversee all inbound and outbound shipping and receiving operations.

Verify shipments for accuracy, inspect for damages, and reconcile deliveries with purchase orders.

Ensure timely processing and documentation of all incoming and outgoing shipment

Manages inventories and supply distribution and light furniture movement/delivery.

Manages department budget/coding invoices for department billing 

Other asset and logistics projects as identified


Requirements

Education / Experience:

Previous  supervisor experience desirable.

Minimum two - three years shipping and receiving experience including inventory and storage, packing and shipping

Required Skills / Competencies:

Excellent administrative skills required, well organized, detail oriented, computer literate

Thorough knowledge of handling, packing, crating and shipping objects

Ability to operate miscellaneous office machines, i.e., photocopiers, fax, email, and postage equipment, FedEx PowerShip, UPS online and fork lift.

Must have valid California driver's license and good driving record.

Work under specific daily deadlines and maintain a tight delivery schedule. 

Must be able to multi-task and maintain a high level of customer service. 

Must work well with a team or individually.

Good communication skills a must

Able to make decisions quickly 

Able to adjust to changing situations/flexible 


Technical Skills:

Computer skills with MSOffice including Excel, MS WORD, PowerPoint, PDFs

Computer skills with MAC and PC

Computer skills with POS system

Previous experience with Yardi or Shopify a plus

Salary Range $110,000-$115,000 DOE
