Job Title: Shipping and Receiving

Job Description

This shipping and receiving position supports day-to-day operations in a modern, climate-controlled distribution facility. You will focus on picking and packing orders, unloading trucks, and placing products into their designated locations in the warehouse. The role runs through the end of the year with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance, and it offers consistent first-shift hours with opportunities for overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Pick customer orders accurately using RF scanners and prepare items for packing.
  • Pack products securely and efficiently to ensure they arrive safely and in good condition.
  • Unload incoming trucks manually and move products to the appropriate staging or storage areas.
  • Place products into designated warehouse locations, following inventory and storage guidelines.
  • Use pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment to move products safely around the facility.
  • Assist with receiving activities, including verifying counts and organizing incoming shipments as needed.
  • Support shipping operations by preparing orders for outbound shipments and staging them for loading.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse team members to meet daily productivity and accuracy targets.
  • Adapt to changing workload demands, including working additional hours when required during busy periods.

Essential Skills

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in warehouse picking, packing, receiving, or similar warehouse operations.
  • Hands-on experience with order picking and packing in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
