Responsibilities

Directs and oversees operations of registration activities for multiple patient types and multiple shifts of employees within the Patient Access department. Assists the Manager in the overall direction and control of the registration functions, operations, and personnel. Responsible for ensuring standards for quality and productivity are met. Works closely with the Business Office to coordinate activities such as insurance verification and pre-certification of admissions, pre-registration, collections at or before admission, and patient billing inquiries.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:1. a. B.S., B.A., or Associate's degree in Business, plus two (2) years registration experience or equivalent receivables/management experience, OR; b. High school diploma or equivalent, plus five (5) years registration experience or two (2) years supervisory experience. 2. Ability to train and direct employees. 3. Ability to work independently. 4. Demonstrated knowledge of billing, insurance verification, and collection procedures, and a general knowledge of computers and computer systems. PREFERRED:1. Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field. 2. Prior supervisory experience.
