What you'll do:
The Production Associate - Rebar is responsible for supporting daily rebar fabrication operations by operating production equipment, processing reinforcing steel, and preparing finished materials according to customer specifications. This role ensures rebar is cut, bent, fabricated, inspected, and staged accurately while maintaining production efficiency, quality standards, and a safe work environment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment.
Rebar Fabrication & Production
  • Operate rebar cutting, bending, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor production equipment to meet work order and production specifications
  • Review fabrication sheets, bar lists, production schedules, and work orders to ensure materials are processed accurately
  • Cut, bend, and fabricate reinforcing steel according to specified dimensions and project requirements
  • Monitor production output to maintain efficiency while minimizing material waste
  • Organize completed rebar bundles for staging, loading, shipment, or delivery

Quality Control
  • Inspect raw materials prior to processing to identify damaged or non-conforming products
  • Verify measurements, dimensions, bends, and fabrication accuracy throughout production
  • Conduct routine quality inspections to ensure finished products meet customer specifications and company standards
  • Identify and report quality concerns, equipment issues, or production discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain a commitment to quality workmanship and operational excellence

Material Handling & Inventory Support
  • Move raw materials and finished products throughout the production facility using approved material handling equipment
  • Assist with inventory counts, material organization, and inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Stage materials to support efficient production workflow and customer delivery schedules
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely when authorized

Equipment & Workstation Maintenance
  • Perform routine inspections of fabrication equipment and basic preventative maintenance activities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of machinery, production equipment, and surrounding work areas
  • Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, or operational issues immediately
  • Support production efficiency by maintaining organized workstations and material flow

Safety & Team Collaboration
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, OSHA requirements, and PPE standards
  • Promote a safety-first culture by identifying and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions
  • Coordinate workflow with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals
  • Assist with training and coaching team members as needed
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, and workplace safety
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

  • Familiarity with production schedules, quality control processes, and inventory management
  • Experience working in reinforcing steel or construction materials manufacturing preferred
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, and industrial production environment
  • Exposure to machinery, noise, dust, vibration, steel products, and varying indoor and outdoor temperatures
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift
  • Ability to frequently lift, move, and handle heavy reinforcing steel and materials using safe lifting techniques or mechanical assistance
  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform physically demanding work throughout the day
  • Ability to work overtime, Saturdays, or extended hours based on production schedules and customer demand
  • May require work in outdoor storage or staging areas under varying weather conditions
