Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic Sales Manager based in Los Angeles who is passionate about the entertainment industry, film and television production, and technology.
You will own and launch commercial sales activities for Leica Media & Entertainment in the US, with a primary focus on studios, broadcasters, production companies, and technology partners in the Media & Entertainment ecosystem.
The purpose of the position is to drive sales on a new customer base as well as targeting existing customers groups to achieve quarterly quotas. You will be involved also with lead generation, prospecting and development of new sales strategies and channel partners.
You will be expected to have a strong understanding of the media & entertainment industry (film production, VFX, gaming, VR/AR, etc) and to collaborate with all key stakeholders including marketing colleagues, R&D, Product Management and external partners. You will be supported by an established sales infrastructure as well as by technical product experts in the Reality Capture Division.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive direct sales of Leica Geosystems high-value capital equipment and associated software/services within the Media & Entertainment segment, managing long and complex enterprise sales cycles from first contact through contract signature.
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with key decision-makers (Heads of Production, VFX Supervisors, CTOs, Engineering Directors), acting as a trusted industry peer rather than a transactional salesperson.
  • Perform face-to-face and online product demonstrations to selected customers.
  • Manage quarterly sales forecast.
  • Provide structured market feedback to product and leadership teams, helping shape pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy based on real customer needs and competitive dynamics.
  • Understand customer needs and act as point of contact while providing support to potential customers during the decision phase.
  • Utilize all available resources cooperating with Commercial Sales Management, Marketing, external partners and others to advance and close sales.
  • Develop "out of the box" sales strategies and models to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Support marketing activities including but not limited to campaigns and exhibitions.
  • Attend and effectively leverage Leica Geosystems presence at events, fairs and exhibitions.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities within the media & entertainment segment - including new applications, growth areas, trends, customers, channel partnerships in collaboration with the existing sales force.
  • Nurture and develop relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Engage with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure solutions are further improved consistent with your customer's needs and identified market trends market to ensure that future developments and product enhancements will set Hexagon apart from its competitors.
  • Work with salesforce maintaining database accuracy and information to develop sales campaigns.
  • Other tasks and projects to be added on an as-needed basis.

Desired Skills
  • 10+ years' experience selling capital equipment in Media & Entertainment, ideally within cameras, camera tracking, virtual production, broadcast, VFX, VR/AR or adjacent hardware-centric workflows.
  • Knowledge in laser scanning/LIDAR technologies (preferred).
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Google Calendar/Docs and CRM systems preferably Salesforce.
  • Native or fluent English.
  • Excellent sales, presentation and communication skills (online and in person) are a must.
  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail and effective follow through.
