The team supports residential and commercial real estate transactions, working closely with lenders, real estate agents, and buyers and sellers. Role Description The Real Estate Title Processor is a full-time, hybrid role based in Timonium, MD, with some flexibility to work from home. The role involves processing real estate files from contract to closing, including ordering and reviewing title searches, tax certifications, payoffs, and other required documents. The Title Processor will prepare closing packages, verify accuracy of legal descriptions and documents, and coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, buyers, sellers, and internal staff to resolve title issues and ensure clear title. Day-to-day responsibilities include data entry, document preparation, scheduling closings, tracking file status, and maintaining organized records in the title software system. This role also requires regular communication with clients and partners, monitoring deadlines, and following established procedures to meet regulatory and company standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in real estate title processing, settlement, or related legal real estate work, preferably in a law firm or title company environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple files, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Knowledge of real estate transaction documents, title commitments, closing disclosures, and basic understanding of state and local real estate practices.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, exercising sound judgment and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Customer service mindset, with a professional, respectful approach and a focus on providing clear, timely information to all parties.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in real estate, paralegal studies, or a related field is beneficial.
