Real Estate Photo Editing Remote information

What is a real estate photo editing remote job?

A Real Estate Photo Editing Remote job involves enhancing and retouching property images to make them more appealing for listings, all while working from a remote location. Editors adjust lighting, color balance, perspective, and remove unwanted objects to create high-quality photos that attract potential buyers. This role typically requires proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom and an understanding of real estate photography standards. Remote editors collaborate with photographers, real estate agents, or marketing teams to deliver polished images that highlight property features.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in real estate photo editing remote?

To thrive as a Real Estate Photo Editing Remote professional, you need expertise in digital photo editing, an eye for visual detail, and a solid understanding of real estate photography standards. Familiarity with tools like Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and HDR processing software is essential, and advanced courses or certifications in image editing can be advantageous. Strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members make you stand out in this role. These skills ensure you can deliver high-quality, appealing property images on deadline, directly supporting agents' marketing efforts in a competitive field.

What are some typical challenges faced by remote real estate photo editors, and how can they be managed?

One common challenge for remote real estate photo editors is managing multiple projects from different clients or agencies with varying style preferences and turnaround times. To stay on schedule and meet quality expectations, strong organizational skills and proactive communication with clients are crucial. Additionally, remote editors may find it necessary to create a dedicated workspace and set consistent hours to maintain productivity. Regular feedback and collaboration with photographers and agents can help resolve discrepancies and ensure each property's photos align with client branding. Adopting these strategies helps editors deliver polished, market-ready images while navigating the demands of remote work.

Are you allowed to edit real estate photos?

Yes, real estate photo editors are permitted to enhance and retouch property images to improve visual appeal. This often involves adjusting lighting, color correction, and removing imperfections using editing software like Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom, following client guidelines and industry standards.

Video Editor | Direct Response Ads

Catch Creation, LLC

OR • On-site, Remote

$15 - $30/hr

Full-time

Posted 12 days ago

Job description

Catch Creation is a remote-first eCommerce company. We build and grow our own DTC brands - including Muddy Mat and Cloud K9 - and we grow them primarily through paid social advertising. That means creative is not a support function here. It's the engine. The ads we make determine how fast the business grows, which is why we invest heavily in the people who make them.
What this job actually is:
You'll cut direct-response ads for our brands - vertical video, primarily Meta and TikTok, built to stop the scroll and sell.
Our Creative Director writes the concept, sometimes loosely, sometimes very specifically. From there it's a conversation: you'll push back, bring your own angles, and shape how the idea actually gets made. The strongest ideas we run usually don't survive first contact with an editor unchanged, and that's the point.
Why this role is different from most editing jobs:
Most editors deliver a file and never find out whether it worked.
Here, your work goes live with real advertising spend behind it, and within days you'll know exactly how it performed - how many people watched past the hook, how many bought. You'll see your ideas tested against real customers spending real money, at a scale most editors never get access to.
That feedback loop is the whole reason this job is worth having. You'll get better faster than you would anywhere else, because you'll actually know what works instead of guessing.
To be clear about the model: most ads lose. That's expected, and it's how this works - we run a lot of ideas to find the few that break out. Nobody gets blamed for a test that didn't hit. What we care about is that you keep generating ideas and keep sharpening them. When one does break out, everyone knows it was yours.
If you're the kind of editor who's curious whether your instincts are actually right, you'll like it here. If you'd rather deliver a file and move on, you probably won't.
One honest note: the format is repetitive. You'll be making a lot of vertical ads in similar structures. The craft demands inside that narrow format are high, and the editors who thrive here get genuinely, unusually good at a specific thing - making the first three seconds work, cutting for retention, and turning a note into a better version fast.
What you'll do:
  • Cut [8-12] ads per week, working from Creative Director briefs and collaborating on how each concept comes together
  • Assemble UGC and influencer footage into ads that hold attention past the 3-second drop-off
  • Build subtitles, text overlays, motion graphics, and sound design that serve the message
  • Turn around revision rounds within 24 hours
  • Bring your own angles and variations - especially on ads that are already winning
  • Adapt winners into new formats, lengths, and platform cuts
What we require:
  • You've edited paid social ads - Meta or TikTok - for DTC or eCommerce brands. Not just YouTube, not just brand or corporate work.
  • Fluent in Premiere Pro or After Effects (or both)
  • You can name what makes a hook work and why an ad loses viewers at second three
  • You have opinions about what makes an ad work, and you're willing to argue for them
  • Written English strong enough for async work - most of our communication is written, across time zones
  • Full-time availability with no competing clients
  • A portfolio containing work you personally cut
Nice to have:
  • Motion graphics and animation beyond the basics
  • Experience in pet, home, or lifestyle categories
  • Comfort with high-volume variant testing
What we offer:
  • Fully remote, long-term, full-time
  • Performance data on everything you make, and incentives tied to ads that actually win
  • Direct collaboration with an in-house Creative Director - you won't be guessing at what's wanted
  • Real growth: our best editor started well below our current bar and got there by iterating

Compensation:

  • $15 - $30 per hour depending on skill set
