Team Lead – Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Full-Time & Part-Time

We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Team Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while guiding and mentoring a team of DSPs. This role is perfect for someone who leads by example, thrives in a hands-on environment, and is passionate about helping others live full, meaningful lives.

What You’ll Do

• Provide direct support to individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and community involvement

• Serve as the go-to leader on shift, offering guidance, coaching, and support to DSP staff

• Assist with staff training, onboarding, and mentoring

• Ensure person-centered plans, behavior support plans, and care documentation are followed accurately

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and interdisciplinary teams

• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment for individuals and staff

• Step in to problem-solve, de-escalate situations, and lead during critical moments

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Team Lead / Manager of Direct Support Professionals

• Must pass and maintain Med Pass Certification.

• High school diploma or GED required (additional certifications a plus)

• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks (as required)

• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills

• A compassionate, patient, and dependable approach

• Ability to handle challenging behaviors professionally and calmly

• Comfortable with documentation and basic computer systems
