Job description

Sea Colony Recreational is seeking an Assistant Beach Shoppe Supervisor! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.
Summary:
The Assistant Beach Shoppe Supervisor is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service related to guest registration, check-in procedures, and point-of-sale transactions. This role includes promptly addressing guest needs, providing resort information, processing payments, and accurately managing cash receipts. The individual upholds the company's high standards of service quality and professionalism while supporting the Beach Shoppe Supervisor with daily operations, staff oversight, and station coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule, train and supervise staff; assign employees specific duties
  • Order office supplies
  • Maintain a current database of all homeowners
  • Maintain daily records; adhere to and supervise cash handling policies and procedures
  • Keep the retail Manager informed of homeowner and guest issues, out of stock merchandise and materials, and personnel issues
  • Conduct inventory counts of badges, retail merchandise and petty cash in adherence to policies and procedures
  • Conduct all banking and fiscal record keeping
  • Provide owners and guests with current information about the Sea Colony community as well as the surrounding communities, including dining, recreational, and adult, youth and family activities
  • Monitor inventory levels and order new items as necessary
  • Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all departments
  • Provide station and Beach Shoppe coverage

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a retail supervisor or in a similar position in retail sales
  • Knowledge of retail management best practices preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend routine instructions
  • Ability to give high priority to customer service
  • Ability to solve problems with a minimum of supervision
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Basic office skills including math and proper cash handling procedures
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and a positive, can-do attitude towards all guests and staff
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be people oriented and able to work independently or with others as needed
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • PC skills and knowledge
  • Ability to use basic office equipment including badge printers and ID camera
  • 2+ years of customer service experience in hospitality service or retail environment
