Job Description Senior .NET/GIS Developer Terms: 6 month contract Location: Onsite; Omaha, Nebraska Capstone IT is helping our client to hire a Senior .NET/GIS Software Developer to develop and support enterprise GIS and web applications using Microsoft .NET, ESRI ArcGIS, SQL Server, and modern front-end technologies. This role will work closely with GIS analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable mapping solutions and enhance existing applications. The ideal candidate has strong full-stack development experience, enterprise GIS expertise, and experience working in an Agile environment

Top skills: ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript React 19/D3.js TypeScript Vite React Recharts Vitest/Playwright Experience in the pipeline or natural gas industry is a plus. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise GIS and web applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and the ESRI ArcGIS platform. Develop interactive web applications using React, TypeScript, Vite, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, including dashboards and data visualizations with React Recharts and D3.js

Develop and integrate ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, ArcGIS REST Services, REST APIs, and SOAP web services. Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases, SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database objects. Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, GIS, and performance issues while supporting production environments.

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, testing, and release activities. Collaborate with business stakeholders, GIS analysts, and development teams to deliver technical solutions. Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience developing applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, VB.NET, and Microsoft Visual Studio

8+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server or another relational database, including SQL development and stored procedures. 5+ years of experience developing applications using the ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise platform, including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcSDE (Geodatabase), ArcGIS REST Services, and Python. 5+ years of experience developing modern web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Vite, HTML, and CSS.

5+ years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. Demonstrated experience with UWP/MVVM, Xamarin, or Angular JS is a plus. Experience designing and integrating REST and SOAP web services.

Experience troubleshooting and resolving application, database, and performance issues. Experience with automated testing tools such as Vitest or Playwright. Experience with Git and Azure DevOps.
