Their duties typically include helping residents with daily activities like bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility. RCAs also monitor residents’ health, report changes to nursing staff, and provide companionship. They play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents. This position requires compassion, patience, and strong communication skills.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of an RCA?

As a Resident Care Assistant (RCA) in a senior living facility, your daily responsibilities typically include assisting residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. You may also help with meal preparation, medication reminders, and monitoring residents' overall well-being. RCAs often collaborate closely with nurses, other care staff, and family members to ensure each resident receives personalized care.
