Job description

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier qualification, development, and continuous improvement across a global supply chain. This role involves working with Generation Core Engine components, collaborating with cross-functional and international teams, and leveraging digitalization tools to enhance quality processes. The position focuses on resolving supplier nonconformances through Root Cause Analysis (RCA), implementing preventive actions, and ensuring compliance with global quality standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead supplier qualification, audits, and risk assessments using quality data
  • Drive Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) and support end-to-end quality activities
  • Manage and optimize Supplier Quality Management (SQM) processes, procedures, and tools
  • Conduct supplier audits, capability/capacity assessments, and performance evaluations
  • Address nonconformances using RCA, containment actions, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Initiate supplier improvement programs and track effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Participate in design reviews and support Design to Cost (DTC) and Design to Localization (DTL) initiatives
  • Collaborate with global SCM and engineering teams in a multi-cultural environment

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years in Supplier Quality Engineering or Supply Chain
  • Strong knowledge of welding, coating, and CWI certification preferred
  • Expertise in ISO standards, ASME standards, and quality management systems
  • Experience with RCA methodologies, risk management, and project management
  • Lead Auditor certification/experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional global teams
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% internationally
