Raytheon Finance is seeking a Finance Director to lead Strategic Business Unit (SBU) & Governance Finance within the Engineering Function. This role serves as a key business partner to the Engineering SBU, Office of the Chief Engineer and Engineering Execution organizations, driving enterprise‑wide financial insight and operational discipline. The leader will oversee Engineering workforce planning—including functional labor strategy, utilization analytics, hiring and attrition trends, and contract labor demand—to ensure alignment with business objectives. In parallel, the role is accountable for fostering predictable program performance through rigorous Estimate at Complete (EAC) oversight, executable proposal development, and strong earned value management practices.

Success in this position requires sound judgment, fact‑based decision making, and the ability to translate complex analysis into clear financial recommendations while operating as a trusted advisor and integral member of Engineering leadership team.

What You Will Do

  • Partner effectively with Raytheon Engineering SBU, Office of the Chief Engineer and Execution leadership teams

  • Lead five direct reports and a team of ~115 Engineering Business Analysts across Raytheon programs

  • Drive Engineering financial execution, including EACs, earned value support, performance against AOP, staffing demand analysis, and tracking cost control initiatives

  • Partner with Rates team to ensure alignment on labor based and hiring expense assumptions

  • Leverage CORE approach to assess and mature processes and drive continued improvement & harmonization

  • Drive effective labor demand forecasting across all SBUs and product lines, including the monthly forecast, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Long-Range Plan (LRP).

  • Proactively lead self-initiated analysis, solve problems, and resolve issues

  • Prepare and present effective leadership presentations

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience.

  • Experience with Raytheon Program Finance and/or Functional Finance

  • Prior management experience leading large teams

  • Experience performing program financial and earned value analysis

  • Experience partnering cross functionally and influencing positive change with and without direct authority

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
