A Day in the Life: Rapid Response Rental Technician

  • Delivers immediate advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance to rental equipment (such as aerial lifts, forklifts, telehandlers) to prevent customer downtime

  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work at customer site, with safe travel to/from customer sites

  • Ability to successfully complete component replacements (motors, valves, sensors, control boards) and advanced repairs (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems)

  • Ability to educate customers on proper use of equipment to avoid future issues

  • Maintain records and account for all time, parts, and supplies used in repairing and servicing rental equipment, with the ability to determine if a replacement rental is necessary

  • Communication with dealership rental team to ensure proper billing, notification of downtime or replacement equipment, and ability to work with rental sales professionals to ensure customer satisfaction

Need to Succeed:

  • Experience as a mechanic diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing rental equipment required, specifically aerial lifts (boom & scissor lifts), forklifts, and telehandlers

  • Valid driver's license with ability to be insured on company policy and medical DOT card required to operate company field service truck

  • Excellent customer service and communication, with bilingual communication skills preferred

  • Coachability and willingness to continue learning through training on rental equipment as needed

  • Recent and regular computer use, specifically in running codes and submitting work order information, is required
