Rapid Packaging has a new impactful opportunity for a seasoned Industrial Bag Sales Packaging Specialist to join our dynamic sales team!

Our Industrial Bag Sales Packaging Specialist will lead sales efforts for our bag division which includes FIBC/bulk bags, woven polypropylene bags, BOPP, paper bag, and sandbag product line, with the ability to sell the greater breadth of product for Rapid Packaging. The majority of this role will be field-based and is accountable for driving sales growth by actively prospecting, meeting with customers, rekindling business, and conducting sales calls.

In addition, the position is also responsible for consistently growing sales organically through our current sales process. This includes employing a solutions-based sales approach for 1-6 month long sales cycles, developing territory and/or industries strategies to gain market share, and the ability to manage new business growth through opportunity funnel management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead sales efforts for growing the sale of bulk bags and the entire industrial bag and packaging lines.
  • Conduct customer visits, assess needs, develop proposals, and deliver presentations, with a focus on acquiring new business from targeted accounts.
  • Manage the full sales processโ€”from prospecting through closingโ€”while driving the achievement of sales targets and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy bulk bag pipeline by leveraging CRM systems, industry connections, and strategic prospecting.
  • Lead contract and pricing negotiations with clients to maximize profitability while owning and managing the bulk bag budget.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the customerโ€™s business and growth objectives. Address customersโ€™ needs by aligning value-based solutions with the customerโ€™s objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the industry, product and market knowledge, and trends through seminars, workshops, and training sessions to support sales and relationship development. Attend regular sales meetings, trade shows and other conventions.
  • Identify prospective customers through resources including but not limited to e-sources, business directories, industry ads, trade shows and publications, websites, and other viable sources for potential sales leads.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, Associateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of outbound sales experience; prior experience with FIBCs (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers), industrial packaging, equipment, or end-of-line automation, or within a similar industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook); experience with CRM is a plus.
  • Strong understanding and comfort using sales methodologies and techniques (consultative selling, solution selling, value-based selling).
  • Proven track record of successful sales accomplishments, strong desire to hunt and win new business and customers
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who works well independently and is comfortable with outbound phone calling
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate directly with customers.
  • Above-average ability to accurately calculate ratios, percentages, and other mathematical computations.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and ability to travel extensively.
