Part-time, not to exceed 28 hours weekly

Hourly rate: $17.00


***NOTE: This position is posted year-round and filled as needed.


General Purpose of Position

Performs park patrol, investigation, traffic regulation and related park enforcement activities.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Patrols park properties and responds to calls for assistance

  • Performs regular patrol of parks to maintain order
  • Summons ambulance and other emergency response vehicles
  • Prepares reports of all activities
  • Checks field and other facility lights and works with contractor to procure repair services

Assists with events and other festivals held in the parks

  • Works as security manpower at special events including weddings and festivals
  • Assists with rentals of park facilities
  • Directs traffic during special events and festivals
  • Undertakes community-oriented ranger work
  • Maintains departmental equipment and supplies
  • Coordinates with Police Department during emergency situations
  • Performs other duties as directed
  • This is a safety sensitive position
Requirements:

Minimum age requirement of 21 years


Education and Experience

The person in this position must have a high school education or equivalent.

Licenses and Certifications

A valid driver's license is required
