About the Position: Serves as the Installation Range Safety Officer and Assistant Range Officer with full authority to carry out all aspects of the Range Safety Program.
Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 5 years by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years, and may be made permanent without further competition.Qualifications:

Specialize Experience: Have one year of specialized experience which includes the following. knowledge of range safety regulations, and the experience to plan, develop and execute the programs, policies and procedures involved in the safe operation of live fire ranges and training areas. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
