Job description

First time parents living in Houston Texas are seeking a full time lead nanny starting July 2026 for their 6 month old daughter.
The role will be Monday through Friday about 45 hours a week. They will also being hiring a second nanny/housekeeper to help with weekend coverage and more household duties.
 
For the right candidate, the family would support relocation, provide a housing stipend or utilize live-in, private quarters (shared common area and exterior access) or some combination of the three for an out of town candidate to find a suitable place they would want to live. Contractually, they would want any stipend to fall away at the time that they would be able to provide an on premises residence with its own private egress.
 
The candidate must be comfortable with travel, primarily ranch in Texas, house in Telluride, CO, family sailing yacht in Mediterranean or Caribbean (depending on season). German speaker desired (Hochdeutsch). 

  • Provide full-time care for a 6-month-old infant
  • Monitor and support developmental milestones and engage in age-appropriate activities
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment
  • Manage daily routines including feeding, diapering, and sleep schedules
  • Handle children’s laundry and assist with general household laundry
  • Perform light housekeeping and daily tidying
  • Load and unload the dishwasher; maintain kitchen cleanliness
  • Support general household organization and serve as an extra set of hands as needed
  • Travel, primarily ranch in Texas, house in Telluride, CO, family sailing yacht in Mediterranean or Caribbean (depending on season).
  • Occasionally, lead nanny may need to coordinate additional coverage through a local agency in coordination with familys schedules.

  • Warm, active, and energetic personality
  • Takes initiative and is naturally helpful without needing direction
  • Strong infant experience and understanding of routines and schedules
  • Comfortable supporting a structured parenting approach
  • Detail-oriented and professional demeanor
  •  German speaker desired (Hochdeutsch). 

  • Prior experience working with infants in a private home setting
  • Experience tracking developmental milestones
  • Valid driver’s license and confident driving ability (vehicle can be provided if needed)
  • Comfortable working in a home with pets (large dog present and one cat)

  • Competitive compensation (based on experience $35 an hr)
  • Stable, full-time schedule (Monday–Friday, ~45 hours/week)
  • Separate off-site family home available for housing (if needed for candidate and their family)
  • Supportive and respectful working environment
