Job description

Volunteers Needed โ€“ Join Our Rake & Run Program! ๐Ÿ‚

Looking for a fun and meaningful way to give back to your community? The City of Auburn Hills is looking for volunteers to participate in our Rake & Run program!

Each fall, volunteers help rake leaves for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and military veterans who are unable to do the work themselves. It's a simple act of kindness that makes a big difference.

We provide:

  • Rakes
  • Leaf bags

We encourage volunteers to bring:

  • Garden gloves
  • Leaf blowers or other yard equipment (optional)

This volunteer opportunity is perfect for:

  • Families
  • Church groups
  • Sports teams
  • School clubs
  • Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts
  • Civic and community organizations
  • Anyone looking to give back!

Flexible Scheduling: Volunteer any day of the week that works for your group. Homes are coordinated with each volunteer group, making it easy to fit into your schedule.

Spend a few hours outdoors, meet neighbors, and help keep our community beautiful while assisting residents who need a helping hand.

If your group or organization is interested in participating, please contact Elaine M. Evans, Volunteer Specialist for Senior and Recreation Services for the City of Auburn Hills.

Together, we can make a difference, one yard at a time!
