Job description

Regional Sales Manager - Building Products - Base Salary to 115k/year - Nashville, TN

  • Our client is a manufacturer of premium exterior building products used to enhance residential outdoor living spaces. They are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to develop new business, expand existing accounts, and grow market share throughout the assigned Tennessee territory by selling through dealer and distributor channels while creating contractor demand.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop profitable new business opportunities while growing sales within existing dealer and distributor accounts
  • Manage a regional sales territory focused on composite decking, railing, fencing, siding, roofing, windows, doors, trim, lumber, and exterior building products
  • Call on lumber dealers, LBM dealers, building supply distributors, contractors, remodelers, and pro dealers to drive pull-through sales
  • Develop dealer relationships while creating contractor demand that increases distributor sales
  • Generate outbound prospecting activities to qualify leads and secure new business
  • Conduct customer meetings, product presentations, and sales calls throughout the assigned territory
  • Forecast territory sales using CRM pipeline data
  • Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and pipeline information within Salesforce CRM
  • Attend trade shows, customer events, dealer meetings, and industry association events
  • Recommend territory growth strategies and sales initiatives to leadership
  • Maintain current knowledge of product offerings, competitive products, and market trends

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in the building products industry, preferably with decking and railings
  • Experience selling exterior building products including composite decking, railing, fencing, siding, roofing, windows, doors, trim, lumber, or related products
  • Experience selling through dealer, distributor, or two-step distribution channels
  • Experience managing a regional or multi-county sales territory
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management
  • Demonstrated success developing new business while growing existing accounts
  • Experience calling on lumber dealers, building supply dealers, distributors, contractors, remodelers, or pro dealers
  • Experience with CRM software for pipeline management and sales forecasting

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 90k - 115k/year range plus monthly commission and annual bonus
