About the Role
As a Logistical Ramp Temp at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in supporting efficient rail operations by organizing, tracking, and maintaining rail-related data and systems. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to operational efficiency and accurate shipment coordination.
You will collaborate with logistics, traffic, and cross-functional teams, ensuring accurate system entries, timely communication, and seamless coordination with internal and external partners. This is a fully onsite role.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with data, and takes pride in maintaining accuracy and organization.
What You'll Do
  • Manage daily purchase orders and reconcile invoices to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Perform TMS+ system entries and maintain accurate and up-to-date data.
  • Send documentation to customers and vendors in a timely manner to support operations.
  • Coordinate railcar transfers and provide shipping instructions for railcar releases.
  • Track backlogs and monitor rail order forecasting and shipment traces.
  • Process monthly purchase orders for warehouse and shuttle operations.
  • Complete end-of-month TMS+ system reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain and update data within TMS+ systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Request rail rates and support car supply ordering and research using Carflow.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support efficient logistics and transportation processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Who You Are
  • 0-2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing or transportation environment
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
  • Technical Skills - Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), data entry systems, and reporting tools
  • Soft Skills - Strong communication, attention to detail, organization, and multitasking abilities
  • Additional Qualifications - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy

Compensation & Benefits
Below is the expected base salary range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.
Base Salary Range:
$61,000-$67,000 USD
Additional compensation may include:
• Performance-based yearly merit increases
• Profit-sharing bonus opportunities
