LOCATION OF POSITION: Fairport NY 14450; Creekside School
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-Month Position, Part-Time; Hours: 3:30pm - 4:00pm
STARTING DATE: September 2026
SALARY: Your 2026-27 rate for Monroe One Boces Teacher Aide/Para Position
DUTIES:
1. Assisting in lining up busses in the bus loops.
2. Directing students to their busses or bringing students to their classrooms if their classrooms need extra assistance.
3. Relaying information to the bus drivers and attendants when asked questions about a specific student that may have left early, come in late, or not been on the bus in the morning.
4. Staying with any students that may have late arriving busses at the end of the day.
5. Communicating with office staff and administrators any issues that may arise with students, staff, or transportation during student arrival and dismissal.
6. Check in with office staff/administrators prior to student arrival and after student dismissal for any additional responsibilities that may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Excellent communication skills when interacting with students, staff members, bus drivers, and bus attendants.
2. Excellent attendance record and punctual.
3. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to represent Creekside School in a professional, courteous manner.
4. Able to use (or willing to learn to use) two-way radio.
5. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation), including ability to perform job duties in various weather conditions.
