As an Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer II, you will play a critical role in the design and development of RF systems for aerospace and defense projects. You will be responsible for detailed RF front-end design, microwave path analysis, and interference mitigation. You will work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality RF solutions. Responsibilities: * Perform co-site analysis
* Conduct detailed radio propagation modeling and prediction in support of link budget analysis
* Complete antenna performance simulations using Ansys HFSS
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
* Document technical designs, test plans, and results. Qualifications You Must Have: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
* 2+ years of experience in RF engineering or a related role.
* Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
* Proficiency in RF design and testing techniques.
* Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices, including various RF modeling, analysis techniques, and tools.
* Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams. Qualification We Prefer: * Experience with advanced RF simulation tools.
* Understanding of aerospace and defense industry standards.
* Knowledge of industry standard RF principles as they apply to design, analysis, and test.
* Understanding of techniques to perform RF analysis such as Cosite, E3 integration, link budgets, and antenna patterns.
* Experience with analysis software applications such as ANSYS HFSS, ANSYS EMIT, ANSYS SAVANT/SBR+, and MATLAB/Python.
* Capable of developing substantiation documentation to demonstrate compliance to related requirements and industry standards to include test plans/reports, analysis documents, and compliance checklists.
* Experience with RF test equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers and Signal Generators.
* Knowledgeable of industry standard RF assemblies and component selection and developing technical specifications. Essential Functions: * Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
* Ability to travel as required.
* Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
* Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
* Analyze failure data, reports, and root cause analysis to identify and document issues accurately.
* Evaluate different approaches to failure analysis and selecting the most appropriate methods for effective resolution.
* Make informed decisions based on data and analysis to recommend corrective and preventive actions.
* Ability to handle small components, tools, and equipment with precision.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents, failure analysis reports, and computer screens accurately. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
